The invite went out at short notice, the chosen Sunday was a public holiday weekend and the weather forecast wasn't brilliant, so it was a select few who feasted - albeit indoors.Unintentional hilarity was caused by membership secretary Judith who disappeared under the table in spectacular fashion. She was so busy gesticulating while regaling us with more stories, her chair simply couldn't cope. It was a bit frail (or rather, Clare had not got round to applying glue where necessary) that it just disintegrated. Luckily Judith felt it going so was unhurt.
We have also discovered an aspiring Tom Lehrer in our midst. Hugh gave us a rendition of 2 songs he has recently been inspired to write - "The Medical Dictionary" & "Cogito ergo sum".
In future we'll try a chose a fine, less busy Sunday as it was a shame so many of you couldn't make it.
