Grace MacDonald has now taken up her post as The Vivarium Trust's first Development Officer. Grace previously worked for Fife Council where she was involved in a number of environmental, social and economic partnership projects which promote sustainability at a local level. In the 1990s she was Scotland's first local government environmental co-ordinator. Grace says: ‘I am delighted to be taking up this exciting new post as Development Officer for the Vivarium Trust. I believe that the development of Co-Housing will not only improve the quality of life for older people and the community it is based in, but will show us all in a very practical way how we can live more sustainably.’
Hugh Hoffman, Chairman of The Vivarium Trust says ‘We look forward to Grace joining us and helping us to get our pilot Co-Housing project off the ground. We will be the first Co-Housing development in Scotland and we aim to demonstrate affordable Co-Housing in action and to encourage other groups to consider setting up their own projects.”
